  • Staying outside the surprise paywall

Used to use this app daily but since updating, suddenly there is a surprise paywall. I get that stuff costs money and ‚everyone else is doing it‘ but as one of the worlds largest and richest news corporations, I don’t really accept that as a good reason limiting access to information, and springing a paywall on loyal readers. I would understand if it meant there were no ads, or they’re not gathering further data on us (lol nice dream), but there are still ads, and they still gather user data…. So what exactly am I paying for, that doesn’t already have its costs covered? Quite disappointing bc apart from that it’s a nice app that I did enjoy reading.
  • Not free anymore

Ive used reuters almost daily. But as of a couple of days ago there is now a subscription necessary to read any article, wich is a shame because i loved to use the app and educate myself on anything and everything. It’s only 4€/month, but as a student you only buy what you need to. It’s a huge pain trying to get the amount and diversity of news anywhere else, so i really appreciated Reuters. Sadly theres nothing i can do:(

  • Überschriften viel zu groß

Seit dem letzten Update sind die Artikelüberschriften riesig und der Text darunter winzig. Das steht in absolut keinem Verhältnis und verschwendet wahnsinnig viel Screen Real Estate.
  • Update ruined the video news

Reuters was my go to for years and now the video news tab feels like a collection of random clips instead of coherent morning news - might have to look for an alternative…

I’ve logged into this app 500 times but always get thrown out and told I’ve reached my article limit and need to sign in. Fine, I’ll just read something else
